Welcome to an exciting new chapter for Wirral Cycle Services! This year, we are proud to sponsor Ellie Perkins, a dedicated cyclist from the Wirral, in her year round cycling endeavours.

Supporting women in cycling is something we truly believe in, but beyond that, Ellie is an incredibly passionate athlete and an all‑around great person. That’s why, at Wirral Cycle Services and Bike Box Hire, we are committed to providing Ellie with all her mechanical and transport needs as she embarks on her cycling journey.

Ellie will be competing in a range of events throughout the year, and we’ll be there to support her every step of the way. We’re sure the Velocity CC and Ellie’s fantastic family will also be cheering her on throughout the season.

We’re excited to follow Ellie on her journey and can’t wait to see what she achieves this season! Keep an eye on our updates as we track her progress and celebrate her successes.

A Few Words from Ellie

“I started cycling in 2017 after my mum completed a triathlon, which inspired me to try one myself. From that moment, I fell in love with the sport and quickly found myself acquiring all the cycling gear (and, of course, more bikes!).”

Paul has been servicing my bikes and providing bike boxes since 2018, supporting me through triathlon age group European and World Championships in Bilbao, Munich, Ibiza, and Torremolinos.

He even fitted a new tyre late one Saturday evening when I had a race the next morning, which I went on to win in my age group at the Oulton Park Duathlon! I have Paul and Alex to thank for getting me to the start line in top shape.

This year, I’m stepping up my game, moving from sprint triathlons and duathlons to standard distance races and a Half Ironman in July.

The longer races are a little daunting, but I have complete confidence that my bike will be in the best condition possible thanks to the amazing support I receive.
